W Rome is a luxury hotel in the stylish Ludovisi neighbourhood, offering 162 rooms and suites with bold colours and modern prints. Many rooms have balconies or terraces with city views, and all are spacious with chic design elements like red velvet curtains, herringbone floors, and marble-clad bathrooms with rain showers.
The interiors of W Rome were crafted by the New York-based Meyer Davis Studio, who have expertly blended contemporary style with the historic character of the 19th-century palazzos that house the hotel. The lobby and lounge areas feature colourful leather furniture set against thick stone walls, with plenty of reflective surfaces that create a warm glow. Surprising elements, like hidden doors leading to a secret garden, add an extra layer of intrigue to the experience.
Giano Restaurant, led by acclaimed chef Ciccio Sultano, serves contemporary Sicilian dishes, while the seasonal rooftop pizzeria, Seu Pizza con Vista, by Pier Daniele Seu, offers delicious pies with panoramic city views. A highlight is Otto Rooftop, perfect for enjoying stunning views of Rome with a cocktail. The hotel also features a courtyard plunge pool for relaxing dips.
Although W Rome doesn’t have a traditional spa, the Wellness at W Rome fitness centre, run by Italian athlete Pietro Boselli, offers a range of activities from boxing to yoga. The Ludovisi neighbourhood provides a quieter, more residential feel that contrasts with the busier, more tourist-heavy parts of Rome.
